DGTL Amsterdam 2026 could be the best weekend of your year… or that festival you keep putting off until the tickets are gone and you’re left watching Instagram reels. Which one will it be for you? At Beatheim, our DJ academy in Berlin, we’ve been following DGTL Festival closely for years, as it’s one of the most influential events on the European electronic scene and a massive benchmark for any DJ who truly wants to learn how to build a proper set.

If you’ve searched for “DGTL Amsterdam 2026”, you probably want to know when it is, where it’s held, which artists are coming, how to get DGTL Amsterdam 2026 tickets, how much they cost, and if it’s actually worth organising the trip to NDSM Docklands. In this guide, we’ll tell you everything clearly, directly, and without the fluff—just like we talk to our students at Beatheim when they’re preparing for their first trip to a major international festival.
History of DGTL Festival Amsterdam
To understand what DGTL Festival is, we first have to travel back in time. It all began in Amsterdam in 2013. Back then, the founders didn’t just want to throw another party with famous DJs. They wanted to create a concept that blended industrial music, digital art, and a deep respect for the planet. Imagine a blank canvas in an abandoned shipyard that suddenly fills with lights and avant-garde rhythms.
Since its first edition, this event has stood out for its “raw” aesthetic. You won’t see plastic flowers or bright, childish colours; you’ll see iron, shipping containers, and metallic structures that look like something out of a futuristic film. But the most incredible part of its history is its transformation towards sustainability. In just a few years, they went from being a normal festival to becoming the world’s first circular festival. What does this mean? It means they generate no waste. Everything is recycled, from the water they use to the food scraps.
At Beatheim, we admire this evolution because it proves that clubbing culture can be responsible. Over the years, the festival has expanded to cities like Lima, Santiago, or Mumbai, but the Amsterdam edition remains the “heart” of the brand, where they test all technological innovations before anywhere else.
When is DGTL Festival Amsterdam 2026?
If you’re planning your trip, get your calendar out and mark these dates. DGTL 2026 will be held during the Easter weekend, specifically from 3 to 5 April 2026. It’s a tradition for this festival to coincide with these dates, allowing many people from across Europe to travel to the Netherlands without worrying about work on the Monday.

The festival is usually divided into several parts. Friday night is typically the “Opening Night“, an opening party that gets things moving with sets from highly curated artists. Saturday and Sunday are the main days, where all stages are in full swing from midday until late into the night. It’s important to know that the weather in Amsterdam in April can be a bit cheeky. It might be sunny or it might rain, but don’t worry, most stages are covered or located inside enormous industrial warehouses. At our academy in Berlin, we always recommend that travelling DJs dress in layers, like an onion. That way, if you’re dancing a lot and get hot, you can take something off, and if you go outside to see the art installations, you can wrap up warm. Remember that full weekend tickets usually fly, so knowing the dates in advance is your greatest competitive advantage.
Where is DGTL Festival Amsterdam?
The setting for this adventure is NDSM Docklands, a place that will leave you speechless. It’s located in North Amsterdam, just across the IJ River. This site used to be a shipyard where giant vessels were built. Today, it’s a cultural hub filled with graffiti, artist studios and, of course, the home of DGTL Festival.
Getting there is part of the magic. You have to hop on a free ferry behind Amsterdam Central Station. It’s like a little initiation journey where you’ll see hundreds of party-goers sharing the trip across the water. Once you step off the boat, you’re greeted by a giant crane converted into a hotel and industrial warehouses with soaring ceilings.
The venue is spacious yet cosy at the same time. The stages take advantage of the local architecture: some are inside dark warehouses with incredible acoustics (perfect for the more serious Techno), and others are outside, near the water, to enjoy the sun’s rays while more melodic House plays. It’s an environment of metal and concrete that, curiously, feels very alive thanks to the lights and digital decoration. For those of you coming from cities with smaller clubs, seeing the sheer scale of the NDSM is an experience that changes your way of understanding music.

Tickets and prices
Let’s get down to the practicalities: DGTL Amsterdam 2026 tickets and let’s talk financial strategy for your pocket, because getting your DGTL Amsterdam 2026 tickets is almost like mixing a set: it requires technique and good timing. The festival uses a tiered system that rewards the fastest. Imagine the tickets are like the first pressings of an exclusive vinyl; if you wait until everyone is talking about them, the price goes up. The phases are mainly divided into Early Bird (for the early risers) and Final (for those who leave it until the last minute).
One Day Tickets y Weekend Day Tickets
If your plan is to go for a single day, the Saturday (Zaterdag) ticket starts at around €88 in the early phase, rising to €98 in the final phase. Sunday (Zondag) is slightly more affordable, starting at €77 and reaching €87. But if you’re like us and want the full experience, the Weekend Ticket is your best ally, with prices ranging between €162 and €172. Going with your “crew” from the academy or your long-time friends? Keep an eye on this! There are Group Tickets for groups of 6 people, where you can save a decent amount, bringing the price per head down to about €93 on Saturday and €80 on Sunday.
Comfort Day Tickets
For those looking for ultimate luxury and comfort, the festival offers Comfort Tickets. These are not just an entry; they are a backstage pass to convenience. For €272 for the weekend (or around €198 on Saturday and €188 on Sunday), you will have priority fast-track access, an exclusive lounge with its own bar and private toilets, and best of all: access to the AMP stage backstage area and a kluisje (locker) included. At Beatheim, we always say that if you can afford it, the Comfort Ticket saves you precious time that you can invest on the dance floor.
Remember that the event is completely cashless; your wristband is your wallet. Also, don’t forget the Eco-token system for cups: the first time you pay a small supplement and then you keep exchanging your used cup for a clean one. It’s a circular system that keeps the NDSM spotless. Don’t take risks with resale and always use official channels or TicketSwap so that your ticket is 100% secure!

Address. How to get there
El festival se ubica en NDSM-Plein 28, 1033 WB Amsterdam. Although it may seem like it is on the other side of the city, it is one of the most accessible festivals there is if you follow these steps.

The best option, without a doubt, is the Ferry. From Amsterdam Central Station (Amsterdam Centraal), take the free F4 line ferry towards NDSM. The boats depart very frequently and run throughout the day and night (although the frequency decreases in the early hours, there is always service). If you prefer to come by land, buses 391 and 394 also drop you off nearby, but you lose the charm of crossing the river. If you come by bicycle (the most typical way in Amsterdam), you can take it on the ferry for free and park it in the designated areas at the NDSM. We do not recommend coming by car, as parking in the area is very limited and expensive, and the city is designed to be navigated by public transport or pedals. Hop on the boat and let the rhythm guide you!
Sustainability and art: the soul of DGTL
At our academy in Berlin, we always teach that a DJ must connect with their environment, and DGTL Amsterdam 2026 takes that connection to the next level. This festival is a global benchmark in circular economy. It’s not just about the music, but about proving that a massive event can be organised with zero impact on the planet. All the food you’ll find at the stalls is vegetarian or vegan, and believe us, it’s delicious.
Besides its ecological side, the festival is an open-air digital art gallery. You will see LED light installations that seem to react to the music, impossible laser projections, and interactive structures that invite reflection. It is an intelligent festival for curious people. The design of each stage is a work of engineering in itself, designed so that the visual experience is as powerful as the sound. Walking through the NDSM at night, between the shadows of the illuminated cranes and the flashes from the stages, is one of the most beautiful experiences that electronics offers today.

Expert advice from the Beatheim Academy
As music professionals at Beatheim, we want to give you a couple of “pro-tips.”
First: pace yourself. DGTL Amsterdam 2026 is a marathon, not a sprint. There are so many good artists that you’ll want to see everything, but it’s better to choose four or five key sessions and enjoy them fully than to be running from one side to the other.
Second: don’t be afraid of the small stages. Although the “Modular” (the main one) usually has the biggest names, the magic of DGTL Festival sometimes happens in the darkest corners, where DJs dare to play things they wouldn’t play in a stadium. Wear comfortable shoes (the concrete floor is hard on the feet after 10 hours of dancing) and, above all, keep an open mind. You’re going to hear new sounds and see people from all over the world.
