Berlín Atonal 2023 returns with a strong presence at Kraftwerk Berlin in September, marking its first full edition in over four years.
This festival, which has become a cornerstone in the world of music, offers 6 nights of concerts spread across two weekends (07/08/09 and 15/16/17 of September). Each concert night promises a unique experience, with dozens of performances taking place within the Kraftwerk complex. This space, encompassing the power plant and other iconic venues like Tresor, Globus, and OHM, comes to life with music every day starting at 18:00.

But Berlin Atonal 2023 is not limited to music alone. Between the two weekends of concerts, attendees can enjoy a four-day exhibition titled “Universal Metabolism.” This exhibit invites the audience to embark on a performative journey through artworks created or adapted especially for the building. . From audiovisual works, performances, sculptures in situ, video art to immersive soundscapes, these pieces come to life and vanish in a dynamic temporal sequence, culminating each day in a focal point based on a specific concert.
For those interested in being a part of this experience, it is important to mention that passes for the entire festival are already sold out. However, passes for the first and second weekends, as well as tickets for specific days and exhibition/concert combinations, are still available. Furthermore, those who decide to visit the venue can find additional tickets at the on-site box office during each day of the festival.

UM (Universal Metabolism) – September 11-12-13-14
Located between the two weekends of the festival programming, Universal Metabolism at Kraftwerk Berlin serves as an extension of Berlin Atonal 2023. This exhibition draws inspiration from and continues the formal experimentation of its predecessor, the iconic “Metabolic Rift” exhibition.
This new project encompasses over two dozen artworks placed throughout Kraftwerk and its intermediate spaces. The pieces range from enduring objects in space to unstable and unpredictable sequenced events. This collection projects a dynamic sequence through time, culminating each day in a focal point based on a specific and distinct performance.
Leveraging the building’s minimalism, the exhibition borrows elements from theater to create an auditorium without a stage or seating, where the artworks and their protagonists merge with the audience members and their perceptions. The exhibit builds upon the concept of bodily and extracorporeal cycles of exchange, adaptation, and transformation.
Universal Metabolism is not just an exhibition; it’s an experience that invites reflection and wonder, where art becomes a bridge between the past, the present, and the future. Don’t miss it!

The festival spans over several days, offering a variety of experiences for music enthusiasts:
From Tuesday, September 7th, to Sunday, September 10th:Enjoy the “Weekend 1 Pass + Day Tickets. You can purchase your tickets starting at €57.29.
From Monday, September 11th, to Thursday, September 14th: Immerse yourself in “Universal Metabolism,” a unique experience of Berlin Atonal 2023. Tickets are available starting at €27.54.
From Tuesday, September 12th, to Wednesday, September 13th: Interested in learning more? Participate in the “Workshops” of Berlin Atonal 2023. . Currently, registrations are on the waiting list, but the best part is, it’s free!
From Wednesday, September 13th, to Friday, September 15th: Don’t miss the “UM Afterparties. An opportunity to continue the party. Reserve your tickets starting at €24.24.
From Friday, September 15th, to Sunday, September 17th: Finish with a flourish with the “Weekend 2 Pass + Day Tickets.” Tickets are available starting at €55.08.

Festival Full Pass
With this pass, you’ll have access to all events from September 7th to September 17th. You will receive a wristband on your first visit, which you should wear throughout the entire festival. All venues within the complex are included.
Weekend Pass 1 / Weekend Pass 2
With these passes, you can access the three concert nights of the respective weekend. Additional tickets for the Universal Metabolism exhibition must be purchased separately.
Day Tickets
These tickets grant you admission for the specified day, including the afterparties.
Admission
You will receive a festival wristband at the entrance, which you should wear throughout the entire event. This wristband is non-transferable.

Accessibility
The Kraftwerk complex is equipped with elevators to access all floors.
